Pre & Post Surgery Trainer in Chico CA

Prehab before surgery and guided strength work after it. I come to you in Chico so you go in stronger, recover faster, and never have to drive to a gym while you heal.

    Prehab & Recover

Stronger Going In, Faster Coming Out

The single best predictor of how well you'll recover from surgery is the shape you go in. Stronger muscles, better mobility, and good baseline conditioning shorten recovery, reduce complications, and help you get back to your life faster. That's what prehab is for.

On the other side, a careful, well-programmed return to strength is what closes the gap from "discharged" to "back to normal." NASM certified, coordinated with your surgeon and PT.

    Who is this for?

Anyone in the Chico area who wants pre & post surgery training without the friction of a commercial gym — beginners welcome, experienced lifters too.

    What does it solve?

Prepare for surgery and recover faster with guided exercise. I bring every piece of equipment to your driveway, garage, or backyard so consistency stops being the hard part.

    When should I call?

When you're ready to start — the consult is free and 15 minutes. Call (530) 781-3961 or book online.

    Pre-surgery (prehab)

If you have weeks or months before your procedure, we use them. We strengthen the area being operated on (when appropriate), the surrounding structures, and your overall conditioning. The data is clear — patients who prehab recover faster and with fewer complications.

    Post-surgery

After PT clears you for general exercise, we pick it up. The goal is to rebuild full strength, full range of motion, and full confidence in the joint or area that was repaired — without re-injuring it. Slow, intentional, progressive.

    Surgeries I commonly support

    • Knee replacements, ACL, meniscus
    • Hip replacements, hip labrum repairs
    • Shoulder reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs
    • Spinal fusions and discectomies (post-PT clearance)
    • General orthopedic and abdominal procedures

    Coordinated with your medical team

I'm not your doctor and I'm not your PT — I'm the coach who picks up after them. Get me your surgeon's restrictions and your PT's notes. We'll work strictly inside those guardrails until you're cleared to push beyond them.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    When should I start prehab?

Ideally 4–12 weeks before surgery. Even 2 weeks is better than nothing.

When can I start post-surgery training?

Once your surgeon and PT have cleared you for general exercise. Timing varies a lot by procedure.

    Will you replace my PT?

No. PT is medical care for the immediate recovery. I'm the next step — rebuilding strength and conditioning back to real-life capacity.

    Do you come to me?

Yes — that's the whole point. Especially right after surgery, the last thing you want is a drive to a crowded gym.

What if I'm afraid of re-injury?

Completely normal. We start lighter than you think you need, build trust in the joint, and only progress when the body says it's ready. Communication is constant.
